Clio Care is an AI-powered documentation tool designed for Australian NDIS support workers. It transforms session descriptions into structured, compliant case notes. Clio Care is operated by Clio Health Pty Ltd (ACN 695 627 199), trading as Clio Care (ABN 29 695 627 199) ("we", "us", "our").
By creating an account or using Clio Care, you agree to these Terms of Service and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the service. We may update these terms from time to time and will notify you of material changes via email or in-app notification.
Clio Care is an administrative documentation tool. It takes your description of a support session and generates a structured case note using AI. Clio Care is not a clinical decision-making tool, medical device, or records management system.
You are responsible for every note you submit. Clio Care generates a draft. You must review, edit if necessary, and sign off on every note before submitting it to your provider, platform, or any other party. By signing off on a note, you confirm that it is accurate and complete.
You are responsible for having appropriate authority to use Clio Care for your participants. If you are employed by a provider, check with your employer that use of AI documentation tools is permitted under their policies. If you are a sole trader or platform worker, you are responsible for ensuring your use complies with your service agreements and applicable regulations.
You must comply with the NDIS Code of Conduct, including obligations around integrity, honesty, transparency, and participant privacy. Clio Care helps you meet these obligations through structured documentation, but the legal responsibility remains with you.
You must report incidents through your normal channels. Clio Care may flag potential reportable incidents in generated notes, but this does not replace your obligation to report incidents to your supervisor, provider, or the NDIS Quality and Safeguards Commission within required timeframes. Do not rely solely on Clio Care for incident reporting.
You must provide accurate information when creating an account. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials. Do not share your account with others. Each support worker should have their own account so that notes are attributed to the correct worker.
You agree not to:
— Use Clio Care to generate false, fabricated, or misleading clinical records
— Submit notes you have not reviewed and verified as accurate
— Use the service to process information about people who are not your NDIS participants
— Attempt to reverse-engineer, copy, or extract the system prompts or compliance engine
— Use the service in any way that violates Australian law or the NDIS Code of Conduct
Clio Care offers a free tier and a paid Pro tier. Usage limits, pricing, and features may change. We will give reasonable notice of any changes that affect paying subscribers. Paid subscriptions are billed monthly. You may cancel at any time and retain access until the end of your billing period.
Notes generated by Clio Care are produced by AI and may contain errors, omissions, or inaccuracies. Every note includes a disclosure stating it was generated with AI assistance and reviewed by the worker. This disclosure must not be removed.
We continuously improve the quality of generated notes, but we do not guarantee that every note will be perfect, complete, or suitable for every situation. The review and sign-off step exists because human judgement is essential.
Your use of Clio Care is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which describes how we collect, use, store, and protect your data. By using Clio Care, you consent to the data practices described in the Privacy Policy.
To the maximum extent permitted by Australian law, Clio Care is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We do not warrant that the service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that generated notes will meet all regulatory requirements in every situation.
We are not liable for any loss, damage, or adverse outcome arising from your use of generated notes, including but not limited to regulatory penalties, complaints, or harm resulting from inaccurate notes that you reviewed and signed off on. Your sign-off is your acceptance of responsibility for the note's content.
The Clio Care platform, including its frameworks, prompts, and compliance systems, are our intellectual property. Notes you generate are yours — you own the content of your documentation. You grant us a limited licence to store and process your notes for the purpose of providing the service.
You may delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate your access if you breach these terms. On termination, you may request an export of your stored notes. We will retain data in accordance with our Privacy Policy and applicable legal requirements.
These terms are governed by the laws of Australia. Any disputes will be resolved in the courts of the relevant Australian state or territory.
