Clio Care is an AI-powered documentation tool for Australian NDIS support workers. We are committed to protecting your privacy and the privacy of the individuals you support. This policy explains how we collect, use, and protect information. We comply with the Australian Privacy Act 1988 and the Australian Privacy Principles (APPs).

We collect the information necessary to provide our service, including account details you provide when you register, information you enter about the people you support, descriptions of support sessions you provide, documentation generated by the service, and general usage and analytics data to help us improve the service.
We use your information to provide and operate the service, generate and store documentation on your behalf, improve the quality and reliability of the service, and communicate with you about your account and service updates. We do not use identifiable participant information for any purpose other than providing the service to you.
Information processed through Clio Care may include health and disability information classified as sensitive under the Privacy Act 1988. This information is collected with your consent and used solely for the purpose of providing the service.
We work with third-party service providers to operate our platform. These providers assist with infrastructure, processing, communications, and analytics. We require our service providers to handle information in accordance with the Australian Privacy Principles and applicable data protection standards. We do not sell your information to third parties. Your information is not used to train or improve AI models.
Your data is stored on servers located in Australia. All data is protected by AES-256 encryption at rest, TLS encryption in transit, and secure access controls.
Your information is retained for as long as your account is active. Clio Care is a documentation tool, not a records management system. You should save your documentation in your provider's official system and not rely solely on Clio Care for long-term retention. If you close your account, we will delete your data within 30 days unless required by law to retain it.
Under the Australian Privacy Act, you have the right to access, correct, and request deletion of your personal information. To exercise these rights, contact us at hello@cliocare.com.au. We will respond within 30 days. You may also lodge a complaint with the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (OAIC) at www.oaic.gov.au.
As the user of Clio Care, you are responsible for ensuring you have appropriate authority to process information about the people you support through this service. Clio Care does not collect information directly from participants.
We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be communicated via email or in-app notification. Continued use of the service after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
